`Mera Naam Joker` to `Kapoor & Sons`, a look back at Rishi Kapoor`s rich legacy

Rishi Kapoor faced the camera as an actor for the first time at the age of 17 when he acted in his father’s most ambitious and audacious film `Mera Naam Joker`. The Showman of Hindi Cinema Raj Kapoor made his son play the younger version of himself, a decision that was nothing less than a masterstroke. The actor won a National Award for playing it so real, making his love for his teacher both heartening and heartbreaking. The two northern states have a long-standing dispute over the ownership of their joint capital, along with residual issues from the 1966 Punjab Reorganisation Act that carved out modern-day Punjab and Haryana. The latest round of hostilities was triggered after Union home minister Amit Shah, on a visit to Chandigarh on March 27, announced that Central Civil Services rules will apply on employees of the Union territory (UT), instead of Punjab Civil Services Rules, from April 1. Shreyas Talpade: I look forward to shrikhand puri made by my wife on Gudi Padwa

The actor is currently looking forward to the release of the film `Emergency` in which he essays the role of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.  Last year, Shreyas Talpade spoke to mid-day.com about the Gudi Padwa celebrations at home. “I hoist a Gudi outside my house, my daughter and I look forward to it. My wife cooks Puri, Shrikhand and whatever we love to eat, which is again something we always look forward to! Gudi Padwa marks the beginning of new year for us. Remo D’souza: You can’t keep a creative person at one place

Bollywood choreographer and director Remo D’souza, turns 49 today. Remo who is also popular on Instagram for his fun reels with wife Lizelle recently spoke to mid-day.com about how he caught on to the trend. Remo says, “We were not doing anything because of the lockdown and you can’t keep a creative person at one place. I keep doing some live shows and Insta reels. One day I was cutting the hair of my dogs and said –shoot me. It became a big thing, now I keep pulling Lizelle into my reels, along with my pets and Raghav (Juyal) too.” When asked to choose between choreography and direction he says, “It’s difficult but I would choose direction because choreography comes in direction.”Sharing how he learnt to dance Remo adds, “I started dancing because of Michael Jackson’s video Thriller , that’s when I said this is what I want to do. I started hunting for dance videos and films based on dance and that’s how I started getting VHS tapes and I learnt dancing watching them.” …
