Siddhant Chaturvedi completes 10 years in Bollywood, opens up about being an outsider, avoiding PR tactics, and choosing roles with honesty over shortcuts.

Siddhant Chaturvedi reflects on completing 10 years in Bollywood, saying his career choices were made with honesty and without shortcuts, despite lacking strong PR or networking.
Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi, who burst onto the scene with Zoya Akhtar’s 2019 breakout hit Gully Boy alongside Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, has quietly completed a decade in the film industry. Over the years, he has carved a distinctive space for himself with films such as Phone Bhoot, Gehraiyaan, and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. As he marks 10 years in cinema, Siddhant is choosing reflection over celebration — and authenticity over aggressive self-promotion.
Siddhant Chaturvedi On 10 Years In Bollywood
In a recent conversation with PTI, Siddhant admitted that he has never been particularly skilled at networking or playing the PR game. Instead, he has relied on his work to speak for him.
“I’m bad with networking and PR. I don’t know how to position myself. Isn’t my work the method of telling people the authenticity I have? The only way I keep myself not corrupted is to know what corruption is and coming from nowhere, I’ve seen everything. I feel innocence, purity, authenticity and minimalism are going to be the new way of life in the next 15 years. We’ve maximised the world with information and everybody is a superstar,” he said.
For the actor, being an outsider without a powerful industry backing has shaped his worldview. Rather than chasing visibility, he has chosen to focus on craft — even if that means taking the longer, more uncertain road.
‘Honesty Is The Only Tool That I Have’
Siddhant acknowledged that some of his film choices may not have been the safest or most commercially calculated. However, he stands by them, emphasising that they were made with sincerity and without shortcuts.
He shared that honesty remains his strongest currency in an industry often driven by perception. According to him, acting is the one space where he gives his absolute self — detaching from distractions and fully immersing into the emotional universe of his characters.
For Siddhant, the pursuit is not fame alone, but integrity. He believes that staying grounded and authentic will ultimately outlast fleeting trends.
Work Front
Looking ahead, Siddhant is gearing up for the theatrical release of Do Deewane Seher Mein, co-starring Mrunal Thakur. The film is set to hit cinemas on February 20 and also features Ila Arun, Joy Sengupta, Ayesha Raza and others in key roles.
