A man was arrested in Bengaluru’s Indiranagar for harassing a young woman from Kerala at a PG. CCTV footage shows him verbally abusing and attacking her.

A man residing in a paying guest (PG) accommodation has been arrested in Bengaluru’s Indiranagar area for allegedly harassing a young woman from Kerala, who was also staying at the same PG. The incident, captured on CCTV, shows the man verbally abusing the woman and attempting to attack her in the games room.
The altercation occurred at a hostel in Domlur. According to the young woman’s complaint, the accused, Manu Sharma, had been harassing her for several days. She informed the police that Sharma repeatedly pressured her to enter into a relationship with him. When she refused, the situation escalated into an argument. Sharma allegedly picked a quarrel with the woman and her friend inside the hostel premises.
The confrontation reportedly happened near the snooker board in the hostel’s games room, where the man is seen throwing snooker sticks and balls at the woman. The entire incident and Sharma’s behaviour were captured on CCTV.
Following the incident, the woman filed a complaint against Manu Sharma. Based on her complaint, an FIR was registered at the Indiranagar Police Station under Section 74 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The Indiranagar police have taken the accused into custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
