Diane Warren Sportingly Embraces Her 16th Oscar Loss for Best Original Song; ‘I’m Consistent As F—’

Diane Warren lost the Best Original Song Oscar for the 16th time but it didn’t deter her spirit. Despite having a disappointing night at the 97th Academy Awards on Sunday, March 2, the songwriter showed up at the Vanity Fair afterparty in Beverly Hills to wind down and have fun.  During her appearance at the afterparty red carpet, Warren caught up with Variety to share her reaction to the 16th Oscar snub. “I’m consistent as fuck,” she qipped. She jokingly called herself the “terminator” of the Academy Awards and declared that she would be back.  “That’s in my Arnold Schwarzenegger voice. I’m coming back. You can’t get rid of me,” she added with a laugh. Warren teased that she’d head back to work in no time and continue working hard on her music.  She claimed that the snub would not slow her down. Although she thought she had a chance to win an Oscar this year, she’s fine even if it didn’t work out that way. In 2022, the legendary musician was given an honorary …

Anora’s Mikey Madison Becomes 16th Actress To Win For Portraying A Prostitute, Joining Anne Hathaway, Emma Stone & Charlize Theron’s Club

Did Mikey Madison win an Oscar for portraying a prostitute in Anora? (Photo Credit – AnoraFilm Instagram) The 2025 Academy Awards came and went in a whirlwind, forging legacies for a slew of talents, though it’s the newcomers who galvanize the most intrigue with their ties to the golden statuette. Amid the night’s fervor, one victory stood out — a triumph that spotlights both a fresh face and a storied trope. Mikey Madison, the 25-year-old dynamo from Anora, seized her first Oscar for Best Actress, outpacing The Substance’s Demi Moore in a twist few had prognosticated. The win, flanked by Anora’s haul of Best Picture, Director, and more, incentivized a floodlight on her nascent Hollywood path. Maddison’s raw and unapologetic portrayal of the titular sex worker elucidated a character far from cliché, cementing her ascent with a cataclysmic bang. That win didn’t transpire without etching new stats into Oscar lore — Madison joined a roster as the 16th actress to claim gold for playing a prostitute, a profession trailing only artists and housewives in nods. …

Unprecedented climate challenges faced by people in 16th century Transylvania have been revealed through historical records detailing extreme weather conditions, famine, and devastation. Diaries, chronicles, and handwritten accounts from the period provide insights into how societies endured fluctuating temperatures during a climatic event known as the Little Ice Age. Descriptions of severe droughts, torrential rains, and widespread food shortages illustrate the struggles experienced by communities in the region. Accounts depict instances of starvation so severe that individuals resorted to consuming tree bark and grass in desperate attempts to survive. These documents offer a glimpse into the environmental extremes that shaped daily life in Eastern Europe centuries ago. Climatic Shifts Identified Through Historical Accounts According to a study published in Frontiers in Climate, researchers examined centuries-old manuscripts in Hungarian, Turkish, and Latin to analyse weather patterns in Transylvania. The study, led by Tudor Caciora, climatologist at the University of Oradea, focused on how climate changes were perceived and documented by individuals at the time. Unlike modern meteorological data, these records relied on descriptions of natural disasters, …
