Amid LPG Concerns, Union Home Secretary Calls for Daily Monitoring and Public Awareness Amid gas cylinder shortage concerns, The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has directed states and Union Territories to tighten security at LPG plants, distribution networks, and transport systems, while taking strict action against hoarding or black-marketing of cooking gas cylinders. Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan held a two-hour meeting with Chief Secretaries and DGPs of all states and Union Territories to review preparedness and ensure uninterrupted domestic LPG supply. The meeting was attended by senior officials, including secretaries of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Information and Broadcasting, and Consumer Affairs. States and UTs were instructed to tighten security around LPG infrastructure, including bottling plants, distribution networks, and transport vehicles.
