Nashik hit with mild tremors days after series of seismic activity
Mild tremors were felt in three talukas of Maharashtra’s Nashik district on Thursday afternoon, just days after the region experienced a series of similar seismic events, reported the PTI. Officials said there were no reports of injuries or damage to property. According to the District Disaster Management Office, the tremors were reported at Dalwat in Kalwan taluka at 3.38 pm, Asarbari in Peth taluka at 3.38 pm and Borgaon in Surgana taluka at 3.40 pm, the news agency reported. Officials said the magnitude of the latest tremors has not yet been determined. No casualties or damage Preliminary reports indicated that the tremors did not cause any loss of life or damage to property. The officials were continuing to monitor the situation while gathering further information. The latest incident comes after Nashik recorded nine tremors between July 25 and 29. The earlier tremors ranged in magnitude from 2.8 to 3.9, according to the PTI.
