The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday sought lieutenant governor VK Saxena’s intervention over the renaming of the official ‘CMO Delhi’ handle on X to ‘Arvind Kejriwal At Work’, claiming that the AAP leader had used the platform for his own use. The BJP made its way back to Delhi after 27 years, ousting the AAP from power in the capital. At least when it comes to making TVs, LG can seemingly do no wrong. Year after year, the company’s OLED sets are at the top of most reviewers’ recommendation lists. They’ve overcome the Achilles’ heel of older models — brightness — thanks to clever innovations like Micro Lens Array, which made the G3 and last year’s G4 bright enough to make HDR shine in any viewing environment. So it should come as no surprise that LG’s 2025 lineup of OLED TVs raises the bar yet again. At the top of the lineup is the M5, which is the latest series to use the company’s Zero Connect Box for a wireless link between the TV screen and your gaming consoles, streaming boxes, and other external devices. A fresh war of words erupted on Tuesday between Delhi lieutenant governor Vinai Kumar Saxena and chief minister Atishi over the alleged order to demolish religious structures in the capital. As you can see the list of religious structures to be demolished includes many temples and Buddhist places of worship that are revered by the Dalit community,” the letter said. “Demolition of these structures would hurt the religious sentiments of these communities. LG isn’t waiting until CES begins to reveal its new collection of gaming monitors. The 2025 lineup is led by the UltraGear OLED Bendable Gaming Monitor, which LG claims is the “world’s first 5K2K-resolution bendable OLED display.” That strikes me as extremely specific, but hey, it’s always worth bragging when you’re first, I suppose. The 45-inch monitor has an expansive resolution of 5120×2160, so you’re getting the same vertical pixel count as a typical 4K screen but a much wider canvas to game on. And with a 21:9 aspect ratio, LG believes it provides “a immersive gaming experience than standard 16:9 displays, while maintaining better content compatibility than 32:9 monitors.” This format also makes the display a great fit for productivity work when you’re not immersed in gameplay. LG’s 27-inch OLED gaming monitor is one of the fastest models we’ve seen to date and it’s finally ready for preorder. The UltraGear 27GX790A (or GX7 for short) is priced at $999.99 and is built around a 480Hz panel from LG Display announced in early January with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and 0.03ms response time. The base specs of the GX7 are on par with the $1,100 InZone M10S that Sony released in September. That makes the UltraGear GX7 a smidge cheaper, but it lacks some of the performance modes and variable refresh rate features available on Sony’s offering. The UltraGear GX7 is listed as available for preorder on LG’s US website, but there’s no mention of a delivery date and it can’t yet be added to the basket for checkout. The resolution passed by the Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet, urging the Union Government to restore statehood to J&K, has been cleared by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. The Cabinet had met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday and passed a unanimous resolution for restoration of statehood “in its original form”, as agenda number one of the subjects before the first meeting. Subsequently, it was sent to Sinha for his approval – all cabinet notes are sent to the L-G for clearance as per procedure in a Union Territory. “The restoration of statehood will be a beginning of a healing process, reclaiming the constitutional rights and protecting identity of people of Jammu and Kashmir,” a government statement issued Saturday stated. Additionally, the Cabinet has authorised the Chief Minister to take up the matter with the Prime Minister and Government of India for restoration of statehood. “Protection of J&K’s unique identity and constitutional rights of people remains the cornerstone of the newly elected government’s policy,” the government said.
