No Rohingya or Bangladeshi immigrant is illegally residing in Mathura, the local police said, refuting claims that scrap dealers — predominantly from the Muslim community — are sheltering them. The response from the police came after two petitioners in the ongoing Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Eidgah dispute case wrote to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, demanding action against illegal immigrants as well as the scrap traders, who allegedly employ them in the district, reported PTI. Delhi Police arrest 2 women from Bangladesh for illegally residing in India | Delhi News

Two Bangladeshi women were arrested from the Mandavli area for residing in India illegally for the past four years, the Delhi police said. According to the police, the two women, Atifa, 24, and Asma, 24, from Dhaka, entered India in 2021 through West Bengal. They then allegedly went to Kolkata, where they hopped onto a train to Banglore. They allegedly came to Mahipalpur in Delhi, from where they moved to Laxminagar and have been living in the Mandawali area for the past year, a police officer privy to the investigation said. “They have been residing in various localities without valid documents or permits. Efforts are underway to trace and apprehend the individuals and networks involved in facilitating their illegal entry and stay in India. Police deport Bangladeshi mother-son duo illegally residing in Delhi

The Delhi Police on Monday deported a Bangladeshi mother-son duo, with the mother living in the national capital illegally since 2005, reported news agency ANI. While conducting searches and gathering intelligence to locate undocumented immigrants, police officials identified the two detainees as Naim Khan (22) and his mother, Nazma Khan. The officials located the duo during a verification drive was carried out by the staff of South Campus Police Station. The mother had been living here in Delhi illegally since 2005; meanwhile, the son, during interrogation, admitted to entering India via the West Bengal border in 2020, according to the police. The son stated that he had been residing in Katwaria Sarai with his mother. The verification drive started following a tip-off that the police received on December 29 about an illegal Bangladeshi national at Shastri Market near Pippal Chowk in Delhi, stated ANI. The mother-son duo was deported to Bangladesh through the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) following their detention.
