The Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested four youths from Maharashtra, Odisha and Bihar for allegedly planning terror attacks across the country, reported the ANI. Officials said the arrests were made during an intelligence-led operation by the Special Cell’s NDR team. According to police, the accused were influenced by extremist ideology and were part of encrypted social media groups where radical content was shared. Investigators allege that they were involved in recruiting others and spreading propaganda linked to the idea of establishing a caliphate, the news agency reported. Police said materials used for making an improvised explosive device (IED) were recovered from one of the accused. Two members of the group were allegedly collecting locally sourced items to assemble a remote-controlled IED, which could be used for an attack. High-value targets identified The accused had allegedly identified sensitive locations such as the Ram Mandir, Parliament House, and military installations as potential targets, according to the ANI.
