The Budget for 2025-26 presented by Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav in the Legislative Assembly on Friday (February 29, 2025) would pave the way for achieving Swarnandhra, in line with the Viksit Bharat objective, with priority accorded to education, healthcare, agriculture, development and social welfare, observed Lanka Dinakar, chairperson of the 20-Point Programme Implementation Committee. Jagan Mohan Reddy‘s regime during 2019-24. “Development and welfare have been promised in the Budget of ₹3.22 lakh crore,” he said. “Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s campaign that construction of Amaravati is financial hardship has been erased without any allocation and by showcasing it as a self-sustainable project with the assistance of the Central Government,” he said. Normally, this would not impact our customers. Out of an abundance of caution, we audited the contents of the repositories, and we found that in isolated instances, certain customer information had been inadvertently copied to the repositories for debugging purposes. The Supreme Court on Friday pulled up the Chhattisgarh Police for adding charges under the stringent Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) to an FIR against a man and arresting him “only to defeat” its interim order granting him anticipatory bail in another case. Though the state said the UAPA charges were added only after it found sufficient material linking the man with Naxalite activities, a bench of Justices A S Oka and Ujjal Bhuyan said it should have, in that case, sought the court’s permission. “Was it not necessary for you to come before the court and seek leave of the court before taking action?” Justice Oka asked. “The (police) officer is aware that this court has protected him (the accused) from arrest and then hurriedly the sections of UAPA are applied. We see the game in this.
