The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has announced the exam schedule for the combined competitive entrance exams for admission to various colleges and universities for the academic year 2025-26. The registration window for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2025 will close today, March 16, 2025. Aspiring candidates who haven’t registered yet must take note and complete the application process on the official website of National Testing Agency (NTA) at exams.nta.ac.in. It is important to note that in case any correction or modification needs to be made in the application form, candidates can do so when correction window opens. NCET 2025 correction window will open on the second day after application window closes, that is on March 18. Five IITs, including Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, Bombay, Madras, Kharagpur, and the Indian School of Mines in Dhanbad, have featured among the top 50 institutions in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025. ISM Dhanbad, which has been given the status of an IIT, has been awarded the highest rank for an Indian institution in the table. The institute has secured rank 20 globally in Engineering (Mineral and Mining) division. This is an improvement from last year’s rank 41. IIT Delhi and Bombay, which shared the 45th rank for Engineering and Technology last year, have improved their position to bag the 26th and 28th spots, respectively. The CBSE Board announced on Thursday, that Class 12 students unable to appear for Hindi board exam on March 15 on account of Holi, will get another opportunity. Although Holi would be celebrated on Friday, March 14, in certain regions, the celebrations might spill over to the next day. As a result, CBSE has decided to offer an opportunity to students to appear for the Hindi exam at a later date, ensuring no student is disadvantaged due to the festivities. “Accordingly, in view of the constraints that some students may face, it has been decided that, while the Examination would be held on 15.03.2025, those students who find it difficult to appear in the same may decide not to appear on that day, i.e., 15.03.2025,” reads CBSE’s latest notice.
