Flight VN 984, operated by Vietnam Airlines, was originally scheduled to depart from Hyderabad at 11:55 p.m. on November 7 and arrive at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi at 5:45 a.m. (local time). However, passengers who arrived at the airport on Friday night were informed of a delay that stretched into the following morning. The flight was eventually cancelled around 10 a.m. on Friday. While there has been no official statement from Vietnam Airlines, airport authorities in Hyderabad confirmed that the cancellation was due to technical issues with the aircraft.
