A father-son duo has been arrested by VP Road police for allegedly brutally assaulting and causing the death of a 53-year-old man in Girgaon. The police said a quarrel erupted between the two parties over parking their bicycle inside the building premises following which the two accused ended up killing the elderly person. According to the police officials, the two accused have been identified as Vikas Raut (53) and Vipul Raut (32) and they are residents of Girgaon. The police said the deceased, Mukesh Morajkar, is also a resident of the same residential building. “On Thursday evening, the two accused allegedly had a fight with Morajkar over his son parking his bicycle inside the pump room and removing it from there,” said an officer. The police said the altercation soon aggravated into a physical fight following which Vikas and Vipul brutally assaulted him. “They even smashed his head against the wall after which Morajkar fell unconscious,” an officer said.
