Voter message to AAP in 2025 elections: Solve our problems or make way

Voter message to AAP in 2025 elections: Solve our problems or make way

As the results for the Delhi Assembly elections poured in, I was reminded of a comment by the late Sushma Swaraj, the last BJP Chief Minister of Delhi. With the votes being counted in November 1998 at the peak of the onion price crisis, it became clear that the BJP was on its way out. Swaraj said, “Ghar ko aag lag gayee ghar ke chirag se (The house was burnt down by a lamp inside the house).” She was referring to the quarrels between various factions of the BJP, primarily with her immediate predecessor, Sahib Singh Verma. Arvind Kejriwal, Atishi, Manish Sisodia Trail In Early Leads

Mr Kejriwal, who is contesting from the New Delhi assembly constituency, is trailing the BJP’s Parvesh Verma, while his close aid Mr Sisodia, former education minister of Delhi, is trailing from Jangpura. Atishi is also trailing the BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri from Kalkaji. AAP’s Amanatullah Khan, a two-time MLA from Okhla, is trailing from his seat. Delhi minister Gopal Rai and AAP Satyendar Jain, who is out on bail in a money laundering case, are leading from Babarpur and Shakur Basti respectively. Avadh Ojha, the IAS exam coach who joined the AAP ahead of the elections, is trailing from Patparganj, the former seat of Mr Sisodia. …
