According to a PTI report citing police officials, a 40-year-old man with a criminal background was arrested for the theft, and valuables worth Rs 1.37 crore were recovered. The accused has been identified as Manoj Mohan Rathod, a resident of Palghar district, who was found to have a long history of similar crimes. Police investigations revealed that Rathod was allegedly involved in at least 14 other theft cases registered across Mumbai and nearby regions.
