Students under the banner of AIDSO staging a demonstration in Mysuru on Wednesday. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT Condemning the alleged NEET-UG paper leak and subsequent cancellation of the examination, members of the All India Democratic Students’ Organisation (AIDSO) staged a protest near the Old Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Mysuru on Wednesday, demanding exemplary punishment for those responsible and abolition of the National Testing Agency (NTA). AIDSO district secretary Nitin alleged that the NEET-UG paper leak reflected a deep crisis in the examination system and had caused severe anxiety among lakhs of students preparing for medical entrance examinations. In a statement issued here, he claimed that, for the second time in three years, the aspirations of honest students had been undermined due to alleged corruption and administrative failure. Demanding immediate dissolution of the NTA, the organisation alleged that the agency had lost public trust by repeatedly failing to conduct examinations in a transparent and secure manner.
