A recent report by the New York Magazine mentions new allegations of non-consensual BDSM and sexual assault of young fans. Among the victims is Neil Gaiman and his ex-wife Amanda Palmer’s son’s former babysitter. She alleges that Gaiman sexually assaulted her in a bathtub in the backyard of their New Zealand home. The victim also alleges that Gaiman assaulted her under the blankets in a hotel room where his son was also present. Parbhani violence: Cops begin inquiry into 23 plaints on death of accused

A month after Dalit protester Somnath Suryavanshi`s death in judicial custody sparked a political uproar, authorities in the Parbhani district of Maharashtra have initiated an inquiry into over 20 complaints, officials stated on Tuesday.   Among the complaints is one from Suryavanshi’s mother, who has demanded justice for her family and stringent action against the police personnel involved in her son’s death. A judicial inquiry into the incident has already been ordered, news agency PTI reported.   Suryavanshi, 35, died on December 15 at a state-run hospital in Parbhani while in judicial custody. He had been arrested days earlier in connection with the Parbhani violence triggered by the desecration of a glass-encased replica of the Constitution.   The police attributed his death to an illness. However, in the aftermath of the incident, Parbhani Police received 23 complaints alleging police misconduct and related concerns, PTI reported. Image Source : PTI Tahir Hussain (Centre) Former AAP politician Tahir Hussain, accused in a murder case related to February 2020 riots and AIMIM leader was on Tuesday granted custodial parole to file a nomination for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. Delhi police opposed a plea of Hussain. Saying contesting elections was not a fundamental right, the police alleged Hussain who was the “main conspirator” and “funder” of the February 2020 riots could complete formalities and fight polls on custody parole. Hussain, in the bail plea, said he spent 4.9 years in jail and though the trial started in the case, only 20 of the 114 prosecution witnesses were examined so far. The Delhi High Court instructed that Tahir Hussain will not use his mobile phone, landline phone or internet during nomination. He will also not talk to anyone except officials related to the nomination process. The AIMIM will not even address the media. The senior counsel urged the high court to acquit the convicts and set aside their convictions. Arguing before a special bench of Justices Anil Kilor and Shyam Chandak, senior advocate S. Muralidhar, representing two of the convicts sentenced to life imprisonment, alleged a “pattern” wherein investigating agencies show “communal bias” while probing terror-related cases. The bench has been hearing appeals pertaining to the blasts case for the past five months and conducting day-to-day hearings. CID apprehends accused in ₹95 crore cryptocurrency fraud

The Telangana Crime Investigation Department (CID) apprehended the key accused involved in a cryptocurrency fraud amounting to ₹95 crore. The arrest follows a complaint lodged by Arra Manoz Kumar, a resident of Karimnagar. The accused, identified as Kurrimela Ramesh Goud, 47, from Nellutla village in Lingala Ghanpur Mandal of Jangaon district, reportedly set up a fraudulent website under the name ‘GBR’. Through a WhatsApp group, he lured innocent individuals with promises of high returns on investments in cryptocurrency. The complainant, along with 43 other victims, transferred approximately ₹95 crore to the accused and his family members. However, the accused failed to repay any of the investments, ultimately defrauding the victims. Kurrimela Ramesh Goud was apprehended and remanded in judicial custody, and efforts are under way to apprehend the remaining accused involved in the scam.
