Anthropic Adds Brand Controls, Code Sync to Claude Design

Anthropic Adds Brand Controls, Code Sync to Claude Design

AI-generated designs can move fast, but businesses still need them to adhere to brand rules, align with approved components, and survive the handoff to development. Anthropic announced a major Claude Design update on June 17 that adds design system imports, tighter Claude Code integration, direct canvas editing, and more export options. The beta product is available to Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise customers. The update could make it more useful for teams that need AI-generated assets to fit existing workflows and move from prototype to production with less rework. It moves Claude Design closer to a governed workspace for design, product, and development teams, rather than a tool for quick mockups alone. Claude Design adds design system imports Anthropic said Claude Design can now import one or more design systems from GitHub repositories, design files, or raw uploads. Once imported, Claude builds with those components, checks its output against the design system, and makes corrections before users see the result. “Our goal remains the same as before: letting you explore more directions than a …

Google Adds New Android Controls for WhatsApp Backups, Password Transfers

Google Adds New Android Controls for WhatsApp Backups, Password Transfers

Google’s June Android updates give users more control over WhatsApp backups, app checks, and saved passwords without requiring a full operating system upgrade. The June 2026 Google system updates added WhatsApp backup management in device settings, extra Play Protect checks for unverified apps, Find Hub setup options, and password and passkey transfers through Google Password Manager. Those changes affect mobile security, account recovery, app trust, and device management across Android fleets, which may not all run the same OS version. System updates touch more than phones According to 9to5Google, Google’s monthly system release notes covered updates to Google Play services, Google Play Store, and Google Play system updates across Android phones and tablets, Wear OS, Google and Android TV, Android Auto, and PCs. Google said in its official support documentation, “Google system services updates make your Android devices more secure and reliable and give you new and useful features.” The most visible phone update in Google Play services v26.23 is a new option to manage WhatsApp backups through device settings. “With this update, you can now manage your …

Meta’s Threads Hits 500 Million Users, Adds New Personalization Tools

Meta’s Threads Hits 500 Million Users, Adds New Personalization Tools

Many expected Threads to cool off after its blockbuster launch. Instead, Meta’s X rival is still growing nearly three years later. When Meta launched Threads in 2023, the app quickly attracted millions of users through its seamless integration with other Meta platforms, but questions remained about whether that early momentum could last. Nearly three years later, the platform’s latest milestone suggests it has done more than survive the post-launch hype cycle. Meta announced on Tuesday that Threads has reached 500 million monthly active users while introducing new community and personalization features. The updates signal a platform that is increasingly focused on keeping users engaged, not simply attracting new ones. The post-launch slowdown never arrived For social media platforms, launch success and long-term success are very different. And for Threads, crossing 500 million monthly active users is more than a numerical milestone. The achievement serves as evidence that the platform has moved beyond the phase where every growth update is measured against its launch performance. In its early days, much of the discussion around Threads centered …

Windows 11 June Update Adds NPU Monitoring for AI PCs

Windows 11 June Update Adds NPU Monitoring for AI PCs

Microsoft’s June Windows 11 update turns a long-running AI PC question into something IT teams can check directly: Is the NPU actually doing any work? The June 9 update adds Task Manager visibility for NPU activity on supported Windows 11 PCs. For organizations testing Copilot+ PCs and other NPU-equipped devices, that makes AI PC evaluation less dependent on vendor claims and more tied to endpoint checks administrators can verify before rollout. KB5094126 makes AI hardware easier to verify Microsoft’s KB5094126 update applies to Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2, bringing builds 26100.8655 and 26200.8655, respectively. It also folds in changes from the May 26 preview release, while Windows 11 23H2 remains on a separate update path. The biggest AI PC change is expanded NPU monitoring in Task Manager. PCs with an NPU can show optional NPU and NPU Engine columns on the Processes, Users, and Details pages. The Details page can also show dedicated and shared NPU memory, while the Performance page can show neural engines built into a GPU. For IT teams, that shifts …

Buchi Babu Sana revises Peddi after hypersexualisation backlash, adds new Janhvi Kapoor scenes in June 17 re-release

Following heavy criticism over its portrayal of Janhvi Kapoor‘s character, the makers of the sports drama Peddi have announced a major update. Director Buchi Babu Sana confirmed that an extended version of the film will hit theatres on June 17. This new cut will reintroduce three specific scenes that were previously left out, a move directly prompted by public backlash regarding how her character, Achiyyamma, was written and presented. The decision follows weeks of intense online debate. Many viewers criticized several of her scenes, calling them objectifying, unnecessary, and detrimental to the film. Peddi backlash leads to major edit: new Janhvi Kapoor scenes added in extended theatrical version. What the director announced At a success meet on Sunday, June 14, director Buchi Babu Sana confirmed that the team has already reworked the film’s cut to restore deleted scenes. “We have already edited it,” the director told reporters. “They will be added from this Wednesday. TMC crisis live updates: Former West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s struggle to stabilise her Trinamool Congress (TMC) and keep it intact seems to be not ending anytime soon with a fresh resignation in the Rajya Sabha – second this week – coming as the latest setback. Sushmita Dev resigned from Rajya Sabha on Wednesday and said she has left the TMC. This is the second major exit this week. “I have left Trinamool Congress,” Dev told reporters. “What prompted me to leave the party is a long story, and I don’t think that in politics everything should be revealed. It’s just that I don’t want to be in a situation where I am in two boats at the same time. The kind of upbringing I have had, I can’t stay in one party and serve the other.” She added, “I will not comment on Mamata Didi. That’s for sure.” She later met …

US adds 172,000 jobs in May, easing fears of labour market slowdown

3 min readUpdated: Jun 5, 2026 11:13 PM IST The US economy added more jobs than expected in May, suggesting the labour market remains resilient despite uncertainty caused by rising geopolitical tensions and higher oil prices. According to the US Labour Department, employers added 172,000 jobs in May after adding 179,000 in April, far above economists’ expectations of around 85,000 new jobs. How many jobs does the US actually need? Eonomists believe that the US economy needs to add between zero and 50,000 jobs every month to keep up with the expanding workforce. The fact that May’s numbers came in at over three times that baseline is being seen as a positive sign. However, the baseline number itself has dropped. One of the reasons behind this drop was the US government’s crackdown on immigration, which reduced the number of people entering the workforce. This has also made the unemployment rate considerably stable, with it being at 4.3% for three months in a row. Companies holding onto people – and not hiring aggressively While the number …
