Dhar, May 25 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav offered prayers at the Bhojshala Temple in Dhar on May 25. (ANI Photo) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday (May 25, 2026) announced financial assistance of ₹5 lakh each to the families of the three people who had died during the February 2003 protests and clashes with the security personnel for the Bhojshala temple, as he performed worship at the site in Dhar.  Mr. Yadav’s visit comes 10 days after the Madhya Pradesh High Court declared the earlier disputed Bhojshala temple-Kamal Maula mosque complex a temple dedicated to goddess Vagdevi (Saraswati) and an ancient centre of Sanskrit learning. The BJP on Tuesday released its manifesto for the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2026, promising Rs 2,000 monthly aid and free LPG cylinders apart from other schemes, reported the ANI. The BJP has promised a range of welfare schemes, infrastructure plans and cultural commitments. The party is contesting 27 seats in alliance with the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam as part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Friday expressed grief over the death of a two-and-a-half-year-old boy who fell into a borewell in Ujjain, and announced Rs 4 lakh assistance for the family. Bhagirath slipped into the well at Jhalaria village under Badnagar tehsil, about 75 km from Ujjain, between 7 pm and 7:30 pm on Thursday. He was pulled out after nearly 23 hours of effort but could not be saved. Bhagirath was rushed to a hospital immediately on Friday evening, where doctors declared him dead. “The news of Bhagirath`s death after falling into a borewell in Jhalaria village under Badnagar in Ujjain is extremely sad. The district administration, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams began a rescue operation immediately after receiving information, but unfortunately the child could not be saved,” Yadav said in a post on X. “My condolences are with the bereaved family. Corporation officials led by mayor V. K. Minimol and deputy mayor Deepak Joy leading the eviction process along Konthuruthy river puramboke. The Kochi Corporation has disbursed financial assistance of ₹14 lakh each to 80 of the 126 families slated for eviction from the Konthuruthy river puramboke, in compliance with a Kerala High Court directive. The assistance, part of the rehabilitation package, was transferred directly to the bank accounts of beneficiary families who submitted documents in accordance with government norms. The process was initiated under the supervision of Mayor V.K. Minimol, deputy mayor Deepak Joy, Corporation secretary P.S. Shibu, and senior officials. Beneficiaries who received the amount voluntarily handed over their buildings to the Corporation. The Engineering department formally took possession of the structures and handed them over to zonal officers for demolition. The BJP-led NDA on Tuesday released its manifesto which promised monetary benefits for needy women and those above 70 years, two free LPG cylinders per year for poor households, an AIIMS for Kerala and protection of places of worship in the state. The manifesto, released by BJP national president Nitin Nabin at an NDA event here, also promised a high speed railway network connecting the state capital with Kannur, 20,000 litres of free water for every household and “water for Tamil Nadu and safety for Kerala” with regard to the Mullaperiyar dam. The manifesto said that every woman from poor and BPL households will be provided with a Bhakshya Arogya Suraksha Card with a monthly recharge of Rs 2,500, which they can use at pharmacies and grocery stores. To resolve this dilemma, a Parliamentary Committee has recommended that the government create a live public dashboard showing the location of hospitals empanelled under the PM-RAHAT scheme to enable Good Samaritans (or Rah-Veer) to take the injured persons to the relevant facility during the critical “golden hour”. The committee has also recommended that the dashboard be integrated with the existing 108 ambulance network. On February 13, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) launched the Prime Minister-Road Accident Victims’ Hospitalisation and Assured Treatment (PM-RAHAT) Scheme against the backdrop of rising road mishaps in India. The standing committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture, though, raised concern over the achievement target of the scheme as “unquantified”.
