India’s Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar clinched the gold medal with a world record score in a tightly contested men’s 50m rifle 3 positions final at the 2026 Asian Shooting Championships in Delhi on Thursday. Tomar, a two-time Olympian, pipped Niraj Kumar by a mere 0.2 points to be crowned the Asian champion. India’s Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar bettered the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions world record final score at the 2025 National Shooting Championships in Bhopal on Monday. Tomar, a two-time Olympian, shot a brilliant 470.5 to win the gold medal. The score is an impressive 1.7 better than the world record held by China’s Liu Yukun, which stands at 468.9.
