‘Jaldi theek ho ja yaar’: Akshay Kumar ‘concerned’ about Rajesh Sharma’s slow recovery | Bollywood News

Akshay Kumar and Rajesh Sharma have shared screen space in a number of films, including Neeraj Pandey’s 2013 hit heist thriller Special 26, Shree Narayan Singh’s 2017 romantic comedy Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Raghava Lawrence’s 2020 horror comedy Laxmii, Tinu Suresh Desai’s 2023 disaster thriller Mission Raniganj, and most recently, Priyadarshan’s horror comedy Bhooth Bangla earlier this year. So, it was quite natural for Akshay to feel “very concerned” about Rajesh’s slow recovery after he was hospitalised following a poisonous insect bite on the set of Hanu Raghavapudi’s period war drama Fauzi, headlined by Prabhas. Rajesh Sharma, who was hospitalised on Wednesday morning, is still not “out of danger”. Akshay Kumar on Rajesh Sharma’s slow recovery “Very concerned to hear about my dear friend Rajesh’s health condition after an insect bite while shooting. In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Samji spoke about the film’s unusually large cast and said the script itself required a huge ensemble. “The film is about a group of actors who arrive in a village. Even today, Firoz bhai (producer) isn’t satisfied with just 34 actors. He would always say, ‘Bring in more people. Make it bigger. We need scale.’ And the scale comes from the faces you see on screen. He was so passionate. He kept saying, ‘The audience will enjoy it,’ and that’s exactly what happened. In every frame, you have seven actors standing here, eight actors there, …

‘I could’ve made Welcome to the Jungle for Rs 75 cr, was a hit before release’: Ahmed Khan | Bollywood News

Ahmed Khan’s Welcome to the Jungle has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the domestic box office within 10 days of release. The threequel in the Welcome franchise, headlined by Akshay Kumar, has become talk of the town because of the size of its ensemble. In an exclusive interview with SCREEN, Ahmed discusses designing the ensemble, managing the budget within Rs 120 crore, and bringing back iconic motifs like Akshay and Raveena Tandon’s pairing, Suniel Shetty’s Yeda Anna, and the duo of Kiran Kumar and Farida Jalal. Welcome to the Jungle has an ensemble of 34 actors. Do you think you could manage that because you had as many characters instead of reverse engineering a multi-starrer? Yes, the script was already there. When we went out to make an ensemble, you had to divide and designate people. So, we had a bunch of filmmaking crew (Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor), a bunch of dons (Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Lara Dutta, Jackie Shroff), and another bunch of villagers …
