Veteran playback singer Alka Yagnik was conferred the Padma Bhushan by President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday, June 23. Several videos from the ceremony held in New Delhi have surfaced online, showing Alka Yagnik making her first appearance amid her recovery from a rare condition since 2024.  Alka Yagnik receives Padma Bhushan Alka Yagnik was honoured with the Padma Bhushan award at the 65th Padma Awards during the second Civil Investiture Ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan for her exceptional contributions to music. The 60-year-old singer, who is undergoing treatment for a rare sensorineural hearing loss condition, needed assistance to reach the stage to receive the honour.
