Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh is likely to witness contrasting weather conditions on Thursday with severe heatwave conditions forecast in several mandals of north coastal districts even as thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are expected at isolated places in the state. While heatwave conditions are expected in some areas, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are also likely at several places,” SDMA Managing Director Prakhar Jain said in an official release. According to SDMA, severe heatwave conditions are likely in 46 mandals today, including 19 mandals in Vizianagaram district, 14 in Parvathipuram Manyam, 11 in Srikakulam, and one each in Alluri Sitarama Raju and Polavaram districts. He noted that compliant taxpayers should not bear the burden of properties outside assessment, adding that the government remains committed to a transparent, citizen-friendly and accountable municipal revenue system.
