Pahalgam terror attack: A devastating terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday claimed the lives of 26 individuals. Anantnag: The Anantnag Police on Wednesday announced a cash reward of Rs 20 lakh for anyone who provides information that leads to the identification of the terrorists involved in the horrific Pahalgam attack, which claimed the lives of 26 people, mostly tourists.  “Any information leading to the neutralisation of the terrorists involved in this cowardly attack shall be rewarded with Rs 20 lakh. The identity of the informer shall be kept strictly secret,” said the police.  Photos, sketches of terrorists  Earlier in the day, security agencies had released sketches and a photo of the terrorists behind the attack in South Kashmir’s Pahalgam. New Delhi: Sending out an important message of unity after the dastardly massacre in Pahalgam, the Congress on Wednesday said this is not a time for partisan politics and signalled it will stand with the government to bring the terrorists to justice. New Delhi: Kashmir terror attack updates: At least 26 civilians, mostly tourists, were killed in a terror attack in Pahalgam in Jammu & Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday, sources said, in what is the deadliest attack in the Valley since the 2019 Pulwama strike.  The attack took place at Baisaran, a meadow accessible only by foot or ponies, where a group of tourists had gone visiting this morning. According to PTI, tourists gathered at Baisaran were from several states, including Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat. The Resistance Front, a shadow group of the banned Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror group, has claimed responsibility for the attack. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephonic conversation with Union Home Minister Amti Shah and asked him to take “suitable measures”. Kashmir Pahalgam Terror Attack Live Updates: In one of the biggest attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, Lashkar-linked terrorists opened fire on a group of tourists in Pahalgam on Tuesday, killing at least 27 people, including foreign tourists, and injuring many others. The Resistance Front (TRF), a Lashkar offshoot, took responsibility for the attack. Terrorists targeted a group of people, including women and elderly individuals, in the brazen attack after noon. Srinagar: Security forces gunned down two terrorists during an encounter in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir this morning. The encounter started after the security forces launched an anti-terrorist operation in the Halkan Gali area. Earlier in the morning, an encounter broke out in Srinagar’s Khaynar area during a cordon and search operation by a joint team of police and security forces. The anti-terrorist operations follow a terror attack on two migrant workers a day earlier. Notably, Bhat went missing in the first week of October. Later, the security forces recovered the bullet-ridden body of the missing soldier from Anantnag.
