OnePlus 9R, OnePlus 8T Stable Android 14-Based OxygenOS 14 Update Rolling Out in India

OnePlus started rolling out the stable version of the Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 to compatible phones globally over the past few weeks. Several OnePlus models in India have also received the update. Now, the company has confirmed that the stable OS update is available for OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 9R users in the country. The OxygenOS 14 update, announced in September 2023, includes the Trinity Engine that is said to enhance the performance and introduces the updated Aquamorphic Design 2.0 which refreshes the look of the UI. In two separate community posts, OnePlus announced that the stable version of the OxygenOS 14 update is rolling out to OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 9R users in India. The update should be available to users in a phased manner. Users can also head to Settings > About device > Check for Updates in order to manually check for the update. Samsung Reportedly Rolling Out Android 14-Based One UI 6 Update for Older Galaxy Foldables

Samsung had previously revealed in a rollout plan that the Android 14-based One UI 6 update will roll out to Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 users by November 20 in select regions, while older foldable models, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 was said to receive the update by November 30. Now, reports suggest that users of these older models have started getting the One UI 6 update. One of the reports also claims that the company is testing a One UI 6.1 update. According to a Sammobile report, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 phones in the US on the Verizon, T-Mobile, and MetroPCS networks are receiving the Android 14-based One UI 6 update. In another report, the publication claimed that the stable One UI 6 update was also rolling out to Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 users in the US with firmware version F711USQU5HWL1 and F926USQU4HWL1, respectively. Google Testing ‘Private Space’ Feature for Android Phones to Securely Hide Apps: Report

Google is reportedly working on a ‘Private Space‘ feature that will add support for hiding apps securely on Android smartphones. Expected to arrive in an upcoming version of the company’s mobile operating system, the feature is expected to allow users to hide apps and files from other users safely. Samsung has offered a similar feature — Secure Folder — for the past six years. Google adding native support with Private Space will allow other phone makers to offer the same functionality on their phones. Development of the feature was previously spotted by Mishaal Rahman on the first beta for the upcoming Android 14 QPR2 release, and the second beta version contains even more details about the feature. Oppo Reno 8 Pro, Reno 10 Pro+ Android 14-Based ColorOS 14 Stable Update Rolling Out in India

Oppo introduced the Android 14-based ColorOS 14 skin earlier this year. It brings a new Trinity Engine to boost the phone’s performance and an improved Aquamorphic Design. The stable version of the ColorOS 14 update had already started rolling out globally in November to some devices. The company has now announced the December rollout timeline of this version. According to the announcement, the stable ColorOS 14 update is now rolling out to Oppo Reno 8 Pro and Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ users in India.  In a community post, Oppo announced the December rollout timeline for ColorOS 14. Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ and Oppo 8 Reno users in India have started receiving the stable version of the Android 14-based UI skin, the company has confirmed. Notably, the Reno 10 Pro+ shipped with Android 13-based ColorOS 13.1, while the Reno 8 Pro ran Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1 out-of-the-box.
