Jyothi Yarraji clocks 12.85s in her first international meet of the year
India’s Jyothi Yarraji continued her encouraging return from injury by clocking 12.85 seconds to win the women’s 100m hurdles at the WACT Bronze EA-IFAM Outdoor Meet in Oordegem, Belgium, on Saturday. Competing in her first overseas meet since recovering from an ACL injury, the national record holder produced her fastest time in three years and moved another step closer to her personal best of 12.78s. The performance follows her successful comeback at the National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships in June, where she won gold in 12.99s after more than a year on the sidelines. The 2023 and 2025 Asian champion is now building momentum ahead of the 2026 Asian Games, where she will look to upgrade the silver medal she won in Hangzhou.
