In a post on X, Jaishankar said, “Was great to sit down and catch up with FM @AnitaAnandMP of Canada. India-Canada ties continue their steady progress.” Jaishankar also shared a photograph from the meeting showing him with Anand. Jaishankar also met his counterparts from the G7 countries as he reiterated India’s support for reform of the UN Security Council (UNSC) at the Munich Security Conference. The meeting comes after India concluded a free trade agreement (FTA) with the 27-nation European Union in January.
