Jammu and Kashmir: 39 Amarnath Yatra pilgrims injured in Ganderbal bus accident

Thirty-nine pilgrims undertaking the annual Amarnath Yatra were injured after a tourist bus skidded off the road at Hariganiwan in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday. The bus was carrying devotees who were returning after offering prayers at the Amarnath cave shrine when the accident occurred. Authorities said all the injured pilgrims were rescued and shifted for medical treatment. Rescue operation launched immediately Personnel from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and the Jammu and Kashmir Police rushed to the accident site and carried out rescue operations. All 39 injured passengers were evacuated from the bus and taken for treatment.
