Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has caught two persons, including a minor, for allegedly hacking Indian websites and posting anti-India messages online, officials said on Tuesday. According to officials, the accused include a minor boy and an another individual identified as Jaseem Shahnawaz Ansari (a resident of Nadiad in Kheda district of Gujarat). Both were running a Telegram channel where they shared proof of their hacking activities, they said. During the recent Operation Sindoor, the ATS received multiple alerts about hackers targeting Indian websites. According to ATS DIG Sunil Joshi, “We often receive information about such cyber-attacks. During the operation, we found that anti-national elements were actively trying to bring down Indian websites.” As per DIG Joshi, Inspector Dhruv Prajapati of Gujarat ATS received an input about Ansari and the minor running the ‘AnonSec’ channel. 54 detonators found at Kalyan railway station, probe on

As many as 54 detonators were found abandoned in two boxes at Kalyan railway station on Wednesday following which the Government Railway Police (GRP) has launched a probe. The police was alerted after train passengers found the boxes lying unattended on platform number 1 of Kalyan station on the Central Railway (CR) route. The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) personnel and dog squad were immediately called to the spot. The BDDS team took the boxes into custody and found 54 detonators inside them. The local GRP were in the process of registering a case against unidentified persons. Apart from GRP, officers from Thane police and Anti-Terrorism Squad too visited the spot and are looking into the matter. Mumbai: The Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) arrested a foreign national in the Juhu area allegedly with MDMA (Methyl enedioxy methamphetamine) worth Rs 3.37 crore, an official said on Friday. He was arrested on Thursday near a five-star hotel on Juhu Tara Road. “Egve John was arrested with MDMA worth Rs 3.37 crore, while his associate is on the run. While two kilograms of the drug was found on him at the time of arrest, another 250 grams was seized from his associate’s home in Nalasopara in neighbouring Palghar district,” the ATS official said. A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was registered and further investigation is underway.
