Why is that?(Abhishek) Answer: At the time the exclusive report was published, the Telugu states distribution rights of Toxic were indeed with PVRINOX Pictures. The deal was in place and confirmed through trade channels. However, shortly thereafter, SVC came in with a more aggressive offer, leading to a change in distribution. In the film trade, such developments are not uncommon; deals can evolve if a better financial proposal comes in. There are two conflicting reports on the amount of the SVC deal, the one being Rs. 45 crore non-refundable advance, seeming more plausible. Telugu film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is showing good legs in the later stages of its run. The film grossed Rs. 6 crore approx in its third weekend, with another Rs. 1 crore plus coming yesterday on Monday. While this is the third week for the film, it is more like the fourth, as it was released on a Monday and yesterday was the twenty-second day of its run. The total box office collection for the film stands at Rs. 237 crore approx. Out of that, Rs. 209 crore approx has come from the Telugu states. Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu grossed Rs. 22.75 crore approx at the Indian box office during its four-day extended second weekend. That takes the total box office collections for the film to Rs. 224.25 crore approx in India. With another Rs. 40.75 crore (USD 4.50 million) coming from overseas markets, the worldwide box office gross amounts to Rs. 265 crore approx. The film is expected to close around Rs. 280 crore. The Chiranjeevi starrer has emerged as the highest-grossing Sankranti release in Telugu states with Rs. 197 crore so far, surpassing Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and Sankranthiki Vasthunam, both of which grossed Rs. 196 crore.
