Air India has ranked fourth among the world’s most punctual airlines in June 2026, according to aviation analytics firm Cirium, marking a significant operational milestone for the Tata Group-owned carrier. According to Cirium’s June 2026 On-Time Performance report, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) topped the global rankings with an on-time arrival rate of 88.32 per cent, followed by Avianca at 87.98 per cent and Hainan Airlines at 87.87 per cent. Air India secured the fourth spot with an 86.85 per cent on-time arrival rate across 15,135 tracked flights, while Spain’s Iberia completed the global top five with 86.74 per cent. In 2025, only 4.7 lakh Bangladeshi visitors arrived in India, down from 17.5 lakh in 2024 and 21.2 lakh in 2023. Between 2017 and 2023, Bangladesh consistently contributed around 20-23 per cent of total foreign tourists, making it India’s largest source of FTAs. PANAJI: The Goa Tourism Department has lodged a police complaint against an X user, Ramanuj Mukherjee, accusing him of disseminating “false data through his social media handles, thereby causing significant annoyance to local businesses and inducing fear or alarm within the local community.” The Goa Tourism Department said the X user had shared wildly inaccurate data to make the case that foreign tourist visits to the state had dropped significantly.
