Chiranjeevi and Sridevi’s Telugu classic Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari has returned to the big screen 35 years after its original release on May 9, 1990. Directed by K.Raghavendra Rao and featuring Amrish Puri in a pivotal role, the fantasy film was produced by Vyjayanthi Movies on a budget of Rs 2 crore. It went on to earn Rs 15 crore at the box office, becoming the highest-grossing Telugu film of its time. The movie was eventually dubbed in Hindi as Aadmi Aur Apsara, Kaadhal Devathai in Tamil and Hai Sundari in Malayalam. To celebrate the 35th anniversary of Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, the makers hosted a special event. At the event, Chiranjeevi has expressed his desire to make a sequel to Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, starring his son Ram Charan and Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles.
