The parents of B. Pharmacy student Ayesha Meera, who was raped and murdered at a hostel in Ibrahimpatnam on the outskirts of Vijayawada in 2007, said on Friday (February 27) that they have not given their consent for the closure of the case. The couple, Shamshad Begum and Syed Iqbal Basha, blamed the investigating agencies for not booking the culprit 19 years into the incident.
