IISc raises fee for undergraduate Bachelor of Science (Research) programme
The IISc says ‘the tuition fee had remained unchanged at ₹10,000 per annum since the inception of the programme in 2011’. | Photo Credit: file photo The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) on Friday announced that the tuition fee for the undergraduate Bachelor of Science (Research) programme will be hiked from ₹10,000 to ₹80,000 for the academic year 2026-27. IISc said that the tuition fee for the programme will be ₹80,000 per annum, on a par with other high-ranking Indian academic institutions. “The tuition fee had remained unchanged at ₹10,000 per annum since the inception of the programme in 2011,” IISc said. The institute added that the PhD programmes and some master’s programmes will also see an increase in the tuition fee.
