ITBP Women Personnel to Be Deployed at Frontline Posts on China Border India’s women security personnel are set to take a frontline role along the India-China border, with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) planning to build special ‘Mahila Barracks’ at 32 border posts near the Line of Actual Control (LAC). This will allow women personnel to be deployed at forward locations in Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Sikkim. ITBP is the armed police force responsible for guarding India’s border with China. All About The Mahila Barracks At Border Posts According to official documents accessed by CNN-NEWS18, the ITBP will construct Mahila Barracks for the first time at 32 Border Out-Posts (BOPs).
