After the success of The Railway Men, YRF Entertainment, the digital content arm of Yash Raj Films, is set to return with another inspiring story rooted in real-life heroism. Pinkvilla has exclusively learned that the banner is developing Tunnel Men, a series based on the 2023 Uttarakhand tunnel rescue, one of India’s most closely followed rescue operations in recent years. The series is based on the real-life rescue mission in which 41 workers were trapped inside the collapsed Silkyara tunnel in Uttarakhand for over two weeks.  According to sources, Tunnel Men will be directed by Ambiecka Pandit and Manan Rawat, marking a fresh directorial pairing for YRF Entertainment. The series will have The Railway Men director Shiv Rawail returning as showrunner, ensuring continuity in storytelling and creative vision.  “The writing and pre-production work has been progressing steadily, and the team is aiming to recreate the scale and emotional intensity of the rescue operation,” reveals a source close to the project. The Kadavanthra police have decided not to register a case over a complaint filed by actor Ansiba Hassan against fellow actor Tini Tom, accusing him of making communal and defamatory remarks against her. In a report submitted to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ernakulam Central, the station house officer of Kadavanthra stated that the investigators could not find solid grounds to register a first information report following a preliminary investigation, an officer confirmed on Saturday (June 27, 2026). Ms. Hassan in her complaint had reportedly stated that she came across the defamatory and communal comments made by Mr Tom against her through another actor. The police had recorded the statements of several people including Ms. Hassan, Mr. Tom, former president of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) Shweta Menon as part of the preliminary probe. Holding that consent for a sexual relationship must be free, voluntary and not obtained through deception, the Patna High Court has acquitted a man convicted of rape, ruling that a promise to marry vitiates consent only if it was fraudulently made from the very beginning with no intention of being fulfilled and solely to induce a woman into a physical relationship. Justice Purnendu Singh made the observation while hearing an appeal against the conviction by an additional sessions judge in West Champaran. The high court was hearing the man’s challenge to the judgment dated December 19, 2013, and the order of sentence dated December 20, 2013, by which he was convicted under Section 376 (rape) of the IPC and sentenced to seven years’ rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 20,000. “The promise of marriage must have been a false promise, given in bad faith and with no intention of being adhered to at the time it was given.
