Narrow escape for 30 passengers after bus overturns in Beed`s Kanifnath Ghat
Around 30 passengers travelling on a private bus had a narrow escape after the vehicle overturned on a hilly road in Maharashtra`s Beed district during the early hours of Saturday, reported the PTI. Police said the accident occurred at around 4 am in the Kanifnath Ghat section of Ashti tehsil while the bus was travelling from Pune to Nanded. According to officials, the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a sharp bend on the ghat road. The bus veered off its path and overturned on the roadside, causing panic among passengers, many of whom were asleep when the accident took place. Rescue operation launched After receiving information about the accident, a team from Ambhora Police Station rushed to the spot. Police personnel, assisted by local residents, immediately launched a rescue operation and helped passengers safely exit the overturned vehicle, according to the PTI.
