Actor Dhruva Sarja’s manager arrested in Bengaluru over assault of fitness trainer | Bangalore News

The Bengaluru police have arrested four persons, including the manager of Kannada film actor Dhruva Sarja, for allegedly attacking a fitness trainer in May. The arrested have been identified as Ashwin, the manager, Nagendra, the driver, and Subbu and Harsha, who assaulted Prashanth Poojari on May 26. Incidentally, Poojari was the fitness trainer of Sarja. Bengaluru city police commissioner B Dayananda on Tuesday confirmed that the arrests were made in this regard. According to a police officer, on May 26, Poojari was assaulted by two bike-borne assailants on K R Road in Banashankari second stage when he was returning home. Poojari then filed a police complaint where he identified the attackers as Subbu and Harsha. The police had registered a case under Sections 41 (wrongful restraint) and 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Initially, Harsha and Subbu were arrested, who later revealed the name of Nagendra. Road on May 26. The victim, Prashanth Poojari (31), was returning home after a gym session with Mr. Sarja at the actor’s house in Banashankari around 9.45 pm. While he was riding his bike on K.R. Road, Banashankari 2nd stage, two men on a motorcycle, armed with a sword and a baseball bat attacked him. Prashanth dodged the attack but sustained injuries in the melee. While the duo sped away towards Mr. Sarja’s house, an injured Prashanth was taken to a private hospital for treatment. He later filed a complaint with the police. An 18-year-old boy allegedly killed his 13-year-old brother after arguments over playing video games on mobile phone on the outskirts of Bengaluru on May 15. The deceased was identified as Pranesh, and the accused as Shivakumar. They lived with their parents in a farmhouse near the Neriga village. The family hails from Adoni in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. Shivakumar is a school dropout, while Pranesh just finished Class 7, the police said. Bengaluru: A man who tried to kill himself after fatally stabbing a girl is recovering from self-inflicted injuries, police said on Wednesday. Pawan Kalyan is a student of Nrupathunga University while Layasmitha was studying in Presidency College, the police said. Both belong to Kolar, 65 km from here, they said. “Pawan Kalyan is recovering in hospital. He stabbed himself in his chest, but the injuries were not serious. We have registered a case of murder against him,” a police officer told PTI. Pawan had been requesting Layasmitha’s parents to marry her off to him, but they did not agree, the officer added.
