Harish Rao has termed the State Government “failure to switch on all pumps of Devadula project when sufficient water is flowing in the river” as criminal negligence. He reminded that Deputy Chief Minister M. Bhatti Vikramarka along with other Ministers had announced that all the pumps would be operated from July 14 to fill 22 online reservoirs of the project with 38 tmc ft of Godavari water. However, out of the 10 pumps, 7 were operated on July 13 and only 5 from July, Mr. Rao pointed out, addressing a press conference here on Tuesday. The farmers who had believed the Minister’s word had raised nurseries but were now facing the threat of nurseries not growing beyond the transplantation stage since their fields were not being provided water for irrigation. HYDERABAD Former minister and Deputy Floor Leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in the Assembly, P. Sabitha Indra Reddy, has demanded that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy order a high-level inquiry into the alleged misappropriation of funds in the Bandangpet Municipal Corporation, now a circle in the GHMC, and take stern action against all those responsible. In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister on Thursday, Ms. Reddy welcomed the suspension of 10 employees of the civic body for their alleged involvement in the misuse of funds. She however stated that a look at the details coming out of the preliminary inquiry clearly indicates that what had come to the light so far was only a tip of the iceberg. Chargesheet to be filed in Formula E case this week

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana will submit a chargesheet in the Formula E case this week, naming Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president and former minister K.T. Rama Rao as accused number three in the case. The chargesheet follows an investigation into alleged misappropriation of public funds in connection with the conduct of the Formula E race in Hyderabad. Senior IAS officer Arvind Kumar and former Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority chief engineer B.L.N. Reddy are to be named in the case as accused number 1 (A1) and A2. According to officials, the case stems from a complaint filed on October 18, 2024 by M. Dana Kishore, Principal Secretary of the Municipal Administration and Urban Development department, alleging a loss of ₹54.88 crore to the State exchequer. The ACB registered a case on December 19, 2024, stating that ₹45.7 crore was transferred to Formula E Operations Limited between September and October 2023, even after the company had terminated its agreement with the Telangana government.
