From Harsha Bhogle To AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli’s Dismissal Triggers Huge Debate

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) survived a late charge by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), registering a one-run win in their IPL 2024 match at the Eden Gardens. However, KKR’s win was overshadowed by Virat Kohli‘s controversial dismissal. Kohli, who made a seven-ball 18, mistimed a slower full toss and fell caught and bowled off Harshit Rana. However, the former RCB captain was confident that the high full-toss was above his waist as the umpires checked for a no-ball. Third umpire Michael Gough declared it out after technology suggested that Kohli was ahead of the popping crease and the ball had dipped due to the lack of pace on the delivery. The decision sparked an angry outburst from Kohli, who was furious after exchanging words with the on-field officials. Former RCB batter AB de Villiers and ex-India all-rounder Irfan Pathan shared their views on Kohli’s controversial dismissal. De Villiers and Pathan gave contrasting views on the same. The former South Africa captain said that there is lack of clarity and grey areas in rules, which led Kohli’s …

“What Is Your Contribution To Indian Cricket?”: Ex-India Star’s Tirade Against Harsha Bhogle, Deletes Post

Former India leg-spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan took a sly dig at renowned cricket commentator and analyst Harsha Bhogle over his remarks on the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). For the unversed, Bhogle put out a post saying that CSK were 20 runs short of the par score during their IPL 2024 match against the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium last week. He explained that “with a bit of dew coming in and not many bowling options” CSK might struggle to defend the target against a batting-heavy MI side. “206 is a fine score but on this surface, with a bit of dew coming in and not many bowling options, #CSK will think they needed another 20,” Bhogle had posted on X. Sivaramakrishnan, however, blasted Bhogle for his prediction. “You guys love to put Chennai guys down, you have done it with me but not with csk. Mumbai freaks,” Sivaramakrishnan replied on Bhogle’s post. The 58-year-old didn’t stop here as he also questioned Bhogle’s contribution towards Indian cricket. “Really wonder what your contribution is to Indian …

“Don’t Think Like That”: Shubman Gill’s Reply To Harsha Bhogle On ‘GT Left It Late’ Is Warning For Rivals

Gujarat Titans (GT) handed Rajasthan Royals (RR) their first defeat of IPL 2024 on Wednesday, successfully chasing 197 off the final ball at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. GT skipper Shubman Gill said he would have loved to finish the game on his own, but lauded Rashid Khan and Rahul Tewatia for getting the job done for the team. With GT needing 15 off the final over, Tewatia (22 in 11 balls) and Rashid (24 not out in 11 balls) combined to put the 2022 champions across the finishing line, with the latter hitting the winning boundary off Avesh Khan. After the match, veteran commentator Harsha Bhogle congratulated Gill as GT ended RR’s unbeaten run, but suggested that his side left it too late to get the job done. However, Gill responded by saying that when GT are playing, no target is safe. “Well done, you got 2 points tonight. I must admit some of us thought you left it too late, but well done today,” Bhogle told Gill. The GT skipper responded, saying: …

“Some Ordinary Bowling”, Says Harsha Bhogle As Hardik Pandya-led MI Concede 148 In 10 Overs vs SRH

The start of their IPL 2024 game against SunRisers Hyderabd, was nothing less than a horror show for the Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians. Famous cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle summed up the situation quit aptly. “Wow, incredible hitting and now, some ordinary bowling as the outcome of the boundary barrage. I don’t think anyone saw this coming. #MI getting dismantled and there is only one Bumrah,” Harsha Bhogle posted on X.
