Revanth Reddy blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for not initiating any action against the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leadership despite the party amassing wealth illegally, and claimed that a CBI inquiry was not being ordered due to the pressure from the Union Minister G Kishan Reddy. Addressing a public meeting at Bhupalapally on Sunday, he claimed that nearly ₹1,500 crore in the BRS party accounts was amassed through unethical practices. He said the Centre had initiated CBI and ED cases against Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, but similar action was not being taken in the Kaleshwaram scam. He questioned Union Minister G.
