Thinking of buying a new car or two-wheeler in Telangana? You can save yourself a trip to the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) office for the registration. Telangana’s transport department has reportedly launched a dealer-point registration initiative for people under which new cars and bikes can be registered directly at authorised showrooms. Following the successful run, it was announced that all newly bought vehicles can be permanently registered at their respective authorised showrooms. The US Consumer Protection Safety Commission issued a stark warning about some of Rad Power Bikes’ e-bike batteries Monday, linking them to dozens of fires and saying they “pose a risk of serious injury and death.” The batteries can “unexpectedly ignite and explode,” especially when water or debris leaks in to cells or the harness, the agency says. CPSC says there have been 31 fires, including 12 reports of property damage totaling $734,500, some of which occurred when the battery was not charging and the bike was in storage or not in use. No injuries were reported as a result of the fires. The following models are included in the CPSC warning: RadWagon 4, RadCity HS 4, RadRover High Step 5, RadCity Step Thru 3, RadRover Step Thru 1, RadRunner 2, RadRunner 1, RadRunner Plus, and RadExpand 5. Peloton is recalling roughly 833,000 of its original Bike Plus machines, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The reason being that the seat post can break and detach during use, with Peloton receiving three reports of breakages and two reports of injuries resulting from falls. The affected Bike Plus units were sold between January 2020 and April 2025, and were manufactured in Taiwan from 2019 to 2022. The bikes were sold both from Peloton directly, and through third-party retailers like Dick’s Sporting Goods, eBay, and Amazon. To check whether your Bike Plus is affected, it should have the model number PL02 and serial numbers beginning with “T.” As a remedy, Peloton is offering a free redesigned seat post replacement that owners can install themselves. “The integrity of our products and our Members’ well-being are our top priorities.
