Bitget, Avalanche Announce Partnership to Boost Web3 Adoption in India

Bitget has partnered Avalanche as part of the latter’s efforts to invest in the Web3 sector in India. Aimed at driving grassroots-level adoption of Web3 technology in the country, the partnership was announced by the Web3 firms on Monday. While Bitget is a Seychelles-based crypto exchange, Avalanche is an open-source layer-1 blockchain created at Cornell University and later led by New York-based Ava Labs. As part of the agreement, both firms plan to boost India’s web3 infrastructure to support crypto services and highlight blockchain use cases in the country. Avalanche and Bitget will launch awareness campaigns and educational workshops related to crypto safety and blockchain exploration throughout the year as part of the “HODL ON” tours. Through these tours, the partnership will offer a platform to Indian Web3 startups to showcase their work and secure funding. Bitget Crypto Wallet and Foresight Ventures Invest $20 Million in Telegram Mini Apps

Telegram’s Mini Apps initiative has secured substantial funding to advance its integration of Web3 technologies into the messaging platform. Bitget Wallet and Foresight Ventures have committed $20 million (roughly Rs. 168 crore) to drive the growth of Telegram’s Mini Apps, as reported by CoinTelegraph on Monday, November 11. As of July 2024, Telegram reported that 500 million of its 950 million global users engaged with Mini Apps each month. The funding is intended to support the expansion of the Telegram Mini Apps ecosystem, enabling it to develop a strategic roadmap for growth and to continue offering Web3 games with crypto and NFT features to its global user base for enhanced in-app entertainment. As per CoinTelegraph, Bitget Wallet has offered to let Web3 app makers use its own developer’s kit to make more games and services that integrate Web3 into Telegram’s interface. Bitget, Alchemy Pay Partner to Allow Crypto Purchasing via Indian Rupee and UPI

Bitget, which is a Seychelles-based crypto exchange, has decided to let Indian users purchase cryptocurrencies using fiat Rupee. The exchange has entered into a partnership with Web3 payments solutions platform Alchemy Pay to facilitate crypto purchases through the Rupee currency. The aim of this collaboration is to make crypto buying on international exchanges more accessible in India while also diversifying the number of platforms to do so for the nationals. As per the announcement published on Bitget’s site, its collaboration with Alchemy Pay will open crypto purchases through IMPS bank transfers as well as through Unified Payments Interface (UPI). Alchemy Pay, as part of this partnership, will provide its on-ramp services on Bitget’s trading platform. This service lets users utilise fiat services like Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, and Google Pay to purchase crypto assets. As part of its services, Alchemy also lets crypto holders sell their crypto holdings and wire back the funds to their back accounts in the form of fiat currencies.
