Hollywood horror film Lee Cronin’s The Mummy continued its steady run at the Indian box office as the film collected Rs. 1.75 crore approx on its 2nd Friday. This marks a minimal 12 per cent drop from its opening day last week. The 8-day running total stands at Rs. 18.75 crore (USD 2 million) approx. The second weekend is expected to earn around Rs. 8 crore, which will take its total gross to around Rs. 25 crore by Sunday. This could probably go for Rs. 35-40 crore full run, which would be an excellent outcome for a small-budget film like this. The business is heavily driven by South India, and even there, it is Tamil Nadu which is doing exceedingly well. Yesterday, the state accounted for over 40 per cent of the collections. This was 20-25 per cent during the first weekend, gradually increasing through the weekdays to now representing nearly half of the all-India business.
