BJP MLAs to elect Fadnavis as their legislative party leader on December 3 | Mumbai News

The Maharashtra BJP has asked all of its newly elected MLAs to reach Mumbai for a legislative party meeting on December 3, where they will elect Devendra Fadnavis as their leader in the Assembly. He is expected to be the new chief minister. During a meeting with BJP district presidents and other office-bearers on Saturday, the party’s state chief, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, said, “The chief minister will be the one which you are already expecting and who is close to your heart and mind.” Several BJP leaders have said in private that both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have given their assent to make Fadnavis the party’s chief ministerial face.
