The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Saturday accused the Delhi Police of obstructing its ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar by allegedly preventing food supplies from reaching demonstrators and detaining students travelling to the protest site. The allegations were made by CJP activist Ashutosh Ranka in a social media post as the party continued its agitation over alleged examination irregularities and demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Trinamool Congress chairperson and former West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of disrupting their protest over the rape and murder of a minor girl in Baruipur. Mamata Banerjee claimed that supporters of the BJP had obstructed the rally. The apps, mostly developed by Chinese firms, appear to be designed for legitimate battery owners. The developers of three such apps —named by a Ministry official— Shenzhen Grenergy Technology, Shenzhen Ruichuang Lineng Technology, and Daly BMS, did not respond to queries from The Hindu.  It is unclear if banning the apps would completely eliminate the vulnerability, as these apps do not require internet access to hijack and shut off battery units without a configured password or PIN. Testing standards to certify e-rickshaws do not include cybersecurity requirements.  Lithium ion battery packs include battery management systems to monitor charge, voltage, temperature and cell health.
