Ayodhya temple committee inaugurates conservation lab to preserve, restore artefacts; security efforts ramped up

The two-day meeting of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Construction Committee concluded on Sunday. He said the main objective of the lab is to preserve and restore various artefacts kept for display, including textile paintings, artworks and stones recovered during excavations, which may require revival after a period of time. He said the conservation and preservation laboratory has been set up in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts in Delhi, headed by Ram Bahadur Rai. Two experienced staff members from the institution have been deputed and are currently working at the laboratory. They will train the temple staff over the next three years. The intercepted boat was identified as AL-MADINA (Credits: News18) The Indian Coast Guard intercepted a Pakistani fishing boat inside Indian waters near the International Maritime Boundary Line in the Arabian Sea, off the coast of Gujarat, near Porbandar, on Wednesday. According to officials, an Indian Coast Guard ship, which was on routine patrol, spotted the vessel and challenged it for identification. The boat attempted to flee towards the Pakistani side after being questioned. However, the Coast Guard ship pursued, intercepted, and boarded the vessel while it was still within Indian territorial waters. The intercepted boat was identified as AL-MADINA. Hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL), the bench headed by Justice Manoj Tiwari directed respondents to file their counter affidavits within six weeks. The Court also impleaded the Survey of India and the Supreme Court’s Central Empowered Committee (CEC) as parties to the case and listed the matter for further hearing on February 11. During the proceedings, the High Court observed that the disappearance of such a large number of boundary pillars in an ecologically sensitive region like Mussoorie is a “very serious issue”. The deformed rocks of Iran are formed due to strong mountain ridges and valleys in the Greater Caucasus mountain range, southwest of the Caspian Sea.
