Hollywood is enjoying a phenomenal year at the Indian box office. With releases only through July, 2026 has already surpassed the total annual grosses of each of the last seven years, trailing only the record-setting 2019. Spider-Man: Brand New Day collected Rs. 39 crore (Rs. 32 crore nett) approx on its 2nd Sunday, and with that, it wrapped its second weekend at Rs. 94 crore (Rs. 77.50 crore nett) approx. The second weekend figures are not just the highest ever but are already the second for the full second week, just behind Rs. 120 crore of Avatar: The Way of Water. Spider-Man: Brand New Day finally smashed the all-time record at the Indian box office. The Tom Holland starrer bagged the title of the highest-grossing Hollywood film of all time, surpassing the long-standing record of Avengers: Endgame. Spider-Man: Brand New Day added around Rs. 40 crore to the tally on its second Sunday, bringing its total cume to Rs. 480 crore gross at the Indian box office.  Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day took just 11 days to beat Endgame’s lifetime cume of Rs. 465 crore. So far, 11 movies have been able to emerge as all-time grossers at the Indian box office. The first one to do so was Jurassic Park, which collected Rs. 22 crore in 1993. Ohh My Dog added Rs. 1 crore to the tally on its Day 2, recording a 33 per cent spike from the opening day. The running cume of the film reached Rs. 1.85 crore nett at the Indian box office, with Rs. 10 lakh coming from previews.  Directed by Amit Rai of OMG 2 fame, the family entertainer is expected to see another spike on Day 3 and close the first weekend around Rs. 3 crore or so.
