David Dhawan slams Bollywood actors for not being loyal to filmmakers: ‘This breed belongs to no one’

Veteran director David Dhawan took a not-so-subtle dig at actors in the film industry, lamenting that they show no loyalty to anyone. PVR INOX organised a special cinematic retrospective to celebrate the director’s legacy of iconic Hindi comedies. Before the launch, David spoke about his career in a chat with Varun in Mumbai. During the interaction, the filmmaker laid down his blunt assessment of actors, saying they aren’t ‘loyal’ to anyone. “I’ve worked with Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Khanna, Raj Babbar, Rishi Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Govinda, and Salman Khan. ‘Change the breed’: Yograj Singh’s marriage advice to son Yuvraj Singh before he married Hazel Keech | Entertainment-others News

5 min readNew DelhiUpdated: May 15, 2026 07:43 PM IST Former Indian cricketer-actor Yograj Singh has always spoken his mind unfiltered, often causing significant controversies. Even his son, cricketer Yuvraj Singh, doesn’t live with him, and chose to move to Mumbai with his wife, actor Hazel Keech. The couple has two children together – son Orion (born 2022), and daughter Aura (born 2023). However, before tying the knot with Hazel, Yuvraj’s father Yograj had already told him to get married to an ‘Irish or English’ girl. In an earlier interview, Yograj had opened up about the cricketer’s marriage to her. During a chat with Krishnank Atrey on his YouTube channel, he revealed that the society pressured him to get his son married early on, but he opposed that. “People wanted me to get Yuvraj married off in his 20s. I said, ‘Is he old already?’ When he turned 38, I told him, ‘Now you can think about it. I can’t choose for you. It’s your life, so find your partner.’ But I did request him …

Daryl Mitchell’s run spree proves that the breed of ODI batting specialists will not end after Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma

With India’s batting superstars returning for, and only playing, the ODI format, the hype around the dying breed of traditional 50-over batting masters has once again caught fire. These are the batters that blend conventional strokeplay with big hits while showing the temperament to play long innings, never letting the middle-overs phase stall the scoreboard with crafty manipulations of the field. It is a template that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have mastered and showcased over a long period of time. As the 50-over format continues to take more of a backseat in the modern cricket fan’s consciousness, those talents don’t quite have such high demand anymore. But with another fine century (137 from 131 balls) in Indore on Sunday, Daryl Mitchell proved that its few remaining torch-bearers need to be valued. Mitchell’s innings was a well-paced effort that showed his mastery of the situation, against spin and pace, while in defence or attack. It took his aggregate for the three-match series to 352 runs. It also underlined just how much he loves batting against …
