Indian-origin Jerrssis Wadia smash three consecutive sixes in BBL
24-year-old Jerrssis Wadia made headlines on Saturday with his imperious hitting in the Big Bash League clash between Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heats. While his team lost by seven runs chasing a target of 180 runs, Wadia’s onslaught of 22 runs in his first four balls against Jack Wildermuth is now a talking point from the game. Coming at number six after Jamie Overton’s wicket, Wadia needed no invitation and smashed Wildermuth from the word go hitting three sixes and one four in the first balls. However, he couldn’t take his team to the finishing line and got out in the 19th over to Wildermuth after scoring 34 runs in 16 balls. 6 6 6 4 😳 In just his second BBL game, India-born Jerrssis Wadia hit 22 off his first four balls at The Gabba! #BBL15 pic.twitter.com/IgIsYCj3AO — KFC Big Bash League (@BBL) December 28, 2025 Indian connection Wadia is a player of Indian origin with his parents still living in Mumbai.
